Known as CHI, the Commission for
Health Improvement was set up as an independent Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) to monitor and improve performance in
the NHS. The new offices in Finsbury Tower, London were fitted out with a self-servie restaurant serving 235 permanent
staff and an additional 125 visitng trainees and reviewers. Tony Galvin design the new foodservice and retail facilities
to provide a quality offer in attractive surroundings.

Portcullis House was officially
opened by Hwr Majesty the Queen in February 2001. A&E Partnership are under commission to review aspects of its
catering provision and assist the chefs in developing a more efficient operation. A full equipment audit was carried
out to establish an equipment replacement programme taking into consideration changes in demand, menu trends and advances
in technology.

Woodville Halls is a 700 seat
Theatre located in the town centre of Gravesend. A&E Partnership in association with their network consultant, The
Catering Consultancy Bureau, carried out a feasibility study and design of a new Cafe Bar operation for the newly refurbished
entrance foyer. Operational from 8am to 9pm the Cafe serves the general public and staff of the adjoining Civic Centre
offering quality hot drinks and light snacks.
